Development…

Over the past weeks we have been in contact with several users of CardSword talking about features people would like to see and bugs they found. We would like to encourage everyone to use the forums at http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/cardsword/ or write to us via email at cardsword@web.de . We are always glad to get feedback and discuss where to go with CardSword.

We are now working on the next revision of CardSword, which will only be a minor update, fixing bugs and adding some urgently needed functionality.

These are the things we plan to work on:

CardSword

  • Enable exporting of the collected data to CSV (readable by Excel and other programs)
  • Enable deleting of participants
  • Enable running the analysis/visualization on selected participants only
  • Enable importing of lists of items or groups from text files/csv
  • Enable copying whole projects
  • Rename the JUNG visualization to something meaningful - ideas welcome!
  • Fix a bug in JUNG viz that will cause the application to use 100% cpu and never stop (and never display anything)
  • Enable importing multiple participants in one step
  • Enable viewing and editing of participants results in CardSword

Zorro

  • Display intro texts, shown before the sorting starts
  • Enable reopening and editing of already saved sortings
  • Change cursor display for drag and drop behavior (actually show the card being dragged around)
  • Fix display of changing selection during dragging
  • Randomize order in which items are displayed initially

If there are other things you would like to have addressed, tell us.
